Finally!!! Yes, finally, I'm back in the world of sports betting. The H1N1 virus took me as a hostage for over a week, but to be honest - if this is all this "new flu" does, it's not so bad as a regular flu. It's true, everybody has different problems with it, but my family had only minor ones. We are waiting for the winter, but it's simply to hot outside. We are witnessing a strange climate change. Well, at least we see no changes in our betting achievements. Yesterday was the first betting day after a long period and all I did was - wait for the surprises and enter the game after it. There were several great opportunities. Twente - Fenerbahce. This game should produce several goals, but first half remained goalless. Time to back Over 1.5 in the second half @ 2.52. In 71st minute, guests score and time to lay @ 2.0. Great. I placed my lay bet so, that I get my winnings only if another goal is scored. Unfortunately, there was no second goal.
Betis - Villareal. Same story, I back Over 1.5 in 40th minute. First goal in 45th minute! Yeah! In the end, game ended with 4-0. Anderlecht - Dinamo - the same story once again. First half goalless, so I back Over 1.5 in halftime. In 56th minute, a goal is scored by Dinamo. Once again, I was waiting for the second goal, but it didn't happen. So far so good. Then comes Blackburn vs. Chelsea. Guests should win, but Blackburn scores first and it stays 1-0 for the first half. After that, I can back Chelsea at 3.95!!! Great. In 53rd minute, a goal is scored for 1-1 and odds move down to 1.86. Time to place a lay bet. And it's very important to sell the bet as soon as you can! In the 69th minute, the score was already 2-2! If you didn't sell, you'd loose at that point as it stayed 2-2 for the rest of the game regular time. Too bad, there was no TV or Internet stream coverage of the game.
A perfect game, which I didn't play was Timisoara - Ajax. Home team scores first (and they shouldn't). You could lay them, as they lost 1-2 in the end. A good start for the new betting period with 2 bets won and 2 bets void. In case you didn't know, Betfair will start its unmonitored in-play betting session on Saturday. This means, there will be no suspended markets and also no live coverage. We'll see how this thing performs and what the good and bad sites of this unmonitored betting are.
