Here is another advantage of betting exchanges. You can't play this strategy anywhere else. We'll try to make profit no matter what happens on the match.

Here is a perfectly normal soccer match between Rapid and Austria Vienna, played in Austrian League.  On Betfair , we look for "in-play" games, where you can place bets during the game. About 10 minutes before kick off, we looked at our game. The oponents are pretty much the same, both competitive and we don't expekt the game to end with 0-0.

Click on MATCH ODDS, and this will show you the regular odds for 1 - X - 2. Home, draw or guests. The bookie expekts the home team to be slightly better and the away team isn't supposed to win. We'll bet against draw! Meaning LAY - X, at 3.25. We'll risk 40€. This can be tricky, as if the game does end with draw (0-0, 1-1..etc), we loose our 40€ at 3.25, total of 90€, in case anybody wins, we get our stake back + the money we risk = +40€. We wouldn't expekt the game to end with 0-0, but we need to be prepared. Open the CORRECT SCORE market , and search for  0-0.

If the game ends with 0-0, we'll make 27€, still we need to Back 0-0 with 13€. Great. The game begins. The odds for X will continue to fall until someone scores. If they don't score, we already made profit.

Should the first goal be scored late - at 70' minute, the "BACK DRAW" will rise extremely. Depends on the competition. In our case, the goal was scored pretty early and the odds rised to 5.49! The calculator tells us to place 23.67 at Back X and our profit is - no matter what happens - 16.32€.

As you can see - if any team wins, we get 16,32€. In case of a draw, we loose only 2 cents. And so it happened - Rapid won with 1-0 - giving us 16.32€. Remember - before the match, we also placed 13€ to back 0-0, which we lost! Our profit is now 3,32€. Not much, but as your bankroll grows and with several matches a day, you could be making serious money.

Use this strategy on games, where both competitors are almost the same.  Don't use it when the first favorite plays against the last one in league. Cover 0-0, except if you're ready to take a bigger risk.

And remember the golden Betfair trading rule - BACK odds need to be higher than LAY odds!
